Electric Vehicle Recharging Equipment Tax Credit

The Electric Vehicle Recharging Equipment Tax Credit expired July 1, 2014.  No more credits may be earned for this program.

The Maryland General Assembly has replaced the income tax credit with a Maryland Energy Administration rebate, effective July 1, 2014.

Maryland residents and businesses who purchased an electric vehicle charging station, more specifically known as Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), before July 1, 2014 can earn up to a $400 income tax credit.
