There are several options for businesses to file and pay Maryland income tax withholding, sales and use, motor fuel, and corporate income taxes electronically. Electronic payments are voluntary for these four tax business tax types unless the payment is for $10,000 or more, in which case payments must be made electronically.
Important Notice: Beginning August 1, 2013, taxpayers may no longer include or report sales and use taxes using the EFT ACH (Electronic Funds Transfer Automated Clearinghouse) option. You may file and pay using our free bFile service which offers direct debit, or you may Pay by credit card.
The easiest way to file an electronic return and tax payment for sales and use taxes is by using bFile, our free service for businesses to schedule and file electronic payments online. bFile is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and allows you to pay by direct debit from your checking or savings account. Businesses that use bFile satisfy their requirement to file electronically while enjoying the flexibility and convenience of scheduling payments up to the due date.
bFile users are provided a printable confirmation that their tax return filing and payment have been processed.
To use bFile, you need to create a New User Registration online and then you can immediately begin filing. When you return to the site in the future, you log in using the Password and Logon ID Number that you created during your initial registration. As a registered user, you can view history of returns and payments that you have filed in the past, as long as you were logged on when filing.
